I saw the video of the shot and the aftermath, she was trying to break into where Mike pence was being kept and protected. Of fucking course she should have been shot. That was literally the secret service' and capitol police' job.

I'm not advocating for anyone to die. I think it's a, shame it had to come to that, but you play stupid game, toy get stupid prize. Not to mention a lot of those fucks were legitimately there to kidnap and/or kill members of government....

Frankly, the republican and right wing side of this country is too far gone to bring back to rationality. America is done for as it was known. I will be VERY surprised if we make it another 30 years without splintering into new countries or another Civil War.

Many on the right, some who will admit it, others who won't, desperately want a right wing, authoritarian, white dominate nation. They don't want black people, immigrants, lefties, nothing. They want a return to 1950s, Mccarthy Era America.

Obviously taking this as a wake up call and learning to come together woupd be ideal, but realistically that is off the table and not gonna happen.

I truly believe what you just said is where we are headed and honestly probably for the best. Trump's cult is too big and too far gone, I dont see how normal people are supposed to live with them going forward. Give them their own country and everyone wins, why force people who hate each other to coexist? We tried, had a decent couple hundred year run, but it's over. Cut our losses and go our seprerate ways.

Trumps people represent something much larger that's been brewing for decades. Trump just gave them purpose.

I less see a civil war and more a dissolving of the union. Each state becoming its own country or linking up with other neighbor states to form countries.

That would be an interesting experiment, split the country into red USA and blue USA (the reds would naturally build a wall to ensure they're kept separate) then wait a few years and compare results.
