It's not that it's hard, it's just one of those things that requires a ton of practice. The more time you put in it, the better you'll be. I'm confident that literally anyone can do it, so long as they consistently put in the effort.

David Gilmour has fat stubby fingers, and he made notes that don't even exist.

I have a guitar that I don't know how to play. I once took piano lessons and I had this problem where my fingers were too small. I forget how that was resolved because my fingers are still small.

Ngl Im impressed by a bassist ability to finger the bass with their right hand

but left hand technique on guitar is really just economy of motion, that really does become like a triathlon of both precision and endurance to get to the speedy-medley stuff

also^ dont feel too bad - I have have ridiculously large hands and struggle as a result lol its possible

I agree, my fingers arent even bendy enough to play all the common chords.

For real, my main problem is switching different chords on the fly like from A to c without trying to correct myself. I can play solos and noodle around the fretboard but I just cant nail those damn chord changes.

Mostly this. I practice for like 20 minutes every once on a while and a four chord prog still sounds sloppy

And then picking just feels weird because I havent found the right thickness I guess. I like the thin ones, but maybe they're not great
