I am amazed how Marvel manages to keep Spidey fresh and entertaining. Mysterio was GREAT. Really love Tom Holland as Parker, and MJ is refreshingly tough. The Mysterio scenes were great, although I wish they did a little more with the

I have seen Captain Marvel, and now that you mention it Fury's comment not to invoke her name is actually really funny. I just wasn't expecting them to come back so soon.
Also, hot take: Spider-Man has the best villains in the MCU so far. Black Panther is second. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Its alright. Can't say I was surprised at how they just kind of washed their hands of Infinity War/Endgame and had the only real consequence be "Tony Stark", but these movies have never really had long lasting consequences in the universe.

also now that the way people blipped back is confirmed
a ton of people just started falling from the goddamned sky or in the middle of freeways? or phased back into existence in the middle of things (like if someone was standing right where they used to be, a new building was built). i mean i know i'm overthinking this but that's just a fact right? --- ... also now that the way people blipped back is confirmed Nah already debunked by Feige and the writers and directors. Banner used the knowledge given by the stones to bring everyone back in a safe spot if they blipped out somewhere that was no longer safe. Which, given the movement of the planet itself, is everyone who was taken, so it's safe to assume Banner kept that in mind. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I think that there's a baked in assumption that people were snapped back into a position where they wouldn't immediately die, as the snapper intended

I find this to be a bit of a strange take. They definitely avoided making it directly impactful to this movie by having his classmates all blipped with him, but that was fair since they were already leaning pretty heavily on Stark's personal impact on Peter. Would it have served the movie better to have Ned age out or something? They went out of there way to show the consequences it had on people in general, and I don't think they handwaved anything away that can't impact other MCU works like all the upcoming shows. --- The batman villians all seem to be one big joke that batman refuses to laugh at - SantaRPG ... They went out of there way to show the consequences it had on people in general, uh... in this movie? how? yeah, peter's teacher makes a comment about how his wife "pretended to blip out" but that's the only time they mention it other than the prologue, i think. i do think they kind of wrote themselves in a corner with the way they did the snap plot point. i know these are superhero movies but the idea that the global economy didn't completely collapse with half the population missing for five years is pretty unbelievable. they should have just stayed true to the original infinity gauntlet comic where half the population returns in a few days instead of five years. --- Geothermal terpsichorean ejectamenta ...
