In our department wide meeting with like 60 fucking people, the department director (my bosss boss) was talking about how one department doesnt have a new supervisor yet and she feels bad that she hasnt been able to give them enough attention as a supervisor as shes been wanting to and someone who forgot to put themselves on mute said she hasnt even been giving us enough attention as a director.

Extremely awkward silence from all of us followed by the director saying we should all make sure were on mute.

I dont know which is worse:

- the employee accidentally telling the director she sucks in front of everyone

- the director being told she sucks in front of everyone

Amazingly the director powered through and continued the meeting. I wonder if well get an e-mail soon wishing the employee well in their future endeavors.

Anyways we've had some hot mic moments over the last 8 months. I just want to crawl inside of myself when it happens. Like the sales rep who sent a picture company wide of a woman in her underwear in his hotel room. My favorite part was our manager saying "dont open that email from X" as if that was going to do anything lol.

This is why I'm happy my job still functions on an in-person basis (I work in a hospital), because when I told off my bosses boss, he knew who it was coming from.
The director of my department (janitorial services) showed up on the 23rd of Dec to hand out x-mas cards. He offered me one and I gave him the finger and told him to fuck off.
He says "excuse me?"
I'm like, "we've been dealing with a pandemic for 9 months and you've hid in your office the entire time. You show up now and expect to glad hand your employees after being MIA for 9 months? Ain't gonna happen. Don't pretend like you give a shit when you clearly don't."
I did this in front of 5 other employees and three other supervisors mind you.

Needless to say, it was an extremely fun meeting with HR the following week when I got called in, heh.
