Certainly a better chance than last time. Much as I loathe Trump the first impeachment was ridiculous and everyone knew it. Giant waste of time and money to basically shame someone completely devoid of shame.

after he is impeached, the senate holds the impeachment trial. they determine GUILT or not.

if he determined GUILTY, the result means hes removed from office.

He will be impeached, but I have my doubts he will be found guilty but I think it's more likely than it was last time.

to be honest, the case is actually weaker now then it was with the previous attempt. if it boils down to inciting insurrection with his speech, you can clearly see that the damn thing is loaded with enough double-talk that republicans in the senate will let him get away with it. at least with the previous attempt there was clear evidence he was using aid money like a bribe to curry political favor and get dirt on biden.

In all likelihood, they would be bringing up stuff from outside just that one speech too, including his twitter posts.

Depends how badly the republicans want to cut ties with him. If they still feel throwing him to the wolves will hurt them by risking turning his base away then I can see them voting against it. I wonder how many republicans actually regret him ever being president?

I think more than 1 Republican will vote to impeach this time but I dont think he will because they've quadrupled down on letting trump get away with murder.

earliest trial with senate will be Jan 19, since mitch mcconnell is trying it delay it.

certainly a better chance, and I do think more Republicans will be on board, but will likely not happen. can they really make a deliberation by Jan 20?
