The way I see it McConnell is lawful evil and Trump is chaotic evil. His personal life is squeaky clean with no scandals whatsoever, and while he plays dirty he never breaks the law while doing so. he might be scum but he likes order, and this is his chance to restore it

definitely this. I'd say Trump's tantrum over losing the election was probably a big reason Georgia ended up flipping the senate. If they had stayed somewhat calm and collected and did like, anything, it probably would;d have remained republican.

Maybe Mitch is just upset that for the first time in like 8 years he finally has to actually do work again.

yes, they did. the entire point is to kill the "Grim Reaper of the Senate"'s power to just never actually vote on anything. things getting voted down is still an infinite improvement over the last 6 years.
