They're just more loyal to each other and/or doing it to take advantage of the Trump crowd and to not upset them. Spineless is a more appropriate term for Democrats. You think they won't "stand up" to Trump? They could rid themselves of him if they want, but they don't want to. They agree with him. And more importantly to them, they are obscenely partisan. People act like it's "both sides are the same" but no. Republicans are unabashedly selfish. And they'll let anyone with an R stay if it helps them maintain power or gain leverage to push their agendas. That's not spinelessness. It's ruthlessness.
