Why or why not?

I am not. My car insurance offers the same thing AAA does except as included in the premiums.

Yes but it's called CAA in Canada. It's called AMA in my province because my province suffers greatly from "smartest man in the room" syndrome and feels the need to have their own version of everything.

And actually it came in super handy when I lost my wallet a few months ago. A good samaritan found it, saw my AMA card, called the phone number, and then they linked me up with this chick to go retrieve it.

Also some of the benefits i have from CAA/AMA/AAA/whatever:

-quick and easy and relatively cheap registry services
-free tows up to a certain limit, which I've taken advantage of.
-partner discounts for groceries and such.

For $100 a year, which is what, $8.35 a month, even just having the piece of mind of not having to rely on a shady tow truck scam if i break down makes it worth it. And the fee is largely subsidized by reduced fees for registry services.

I'm also a Bertan.
AMA is worth it, but my insurance offers roadside assistance so the value is heavily diminished for me.
