Not to defend trickle down economics - which is not fundamental to capitalism - but what you are describing where the same entity is both the top and bottom of the chain is called a 'cycle'

Just broadly saying "capitalism is X Y Z" lacks just as much nuance as the people going "socialism is communism." We can say "the American system has royally fucked up in some areas," but capitalism itself is the best system we've developed. Some percentage of humanity will inevitably suffer because a utopia is not possible in our current era. We may eventually have the technology and resources for a better way of doing things, but it's a pipedream to expect otherwise at this moment/

You know you're rich beyond conscious when you're spending ridiculous amounts on luxury things that don't even give you feeling anymore. Because you're literally chasing that feeling and don't even care to try seeing if helping people with that money instead might be what feels good. Maybe these guys try that and just hate the feeling of making other people's lives tolerable tho.

Even if everyone learned the right skills and worked the right amount of hard, people would still be stuck on the bottom. There would be an overabundance of skill and no jobs or money for all of them. Someone needs to work all the jobs and then big brained critics would still call out the unfortunate losers for their lack of effort and failure to forecast the market. "We shouldn't help them if they can't even help themselves. Those aren't supposed to be jobs you can live on. Should have studied an in-demand skill"

1) Slavery is not compatible with capitalism, nor is it legal in our current system

2) businesses are at worst indifferent to poverty, no legitimate business is actively scheming to put people in poverty. Its not even a good business model

3) our current system is not free for all laissez faire system. We have government tools to help regulate and provide a minimum QoL to citizens.

Sure we need to better fund welfare, but that can happen in our current system.

Capitalism is by far the fairest system that we have by a large margin. The people that claim that Socialism or Communism is "better" neglect the fact that man is selfish by nature. There is no Kumbaya, smoking weed in a circle with roses when dividing things out. We've seen time and time again that when socialism fails, it fails HARD. Capitalism has not once failed as hard as Socialism or Communism and yet people still believe that those two systems are the answers when they have a track record of many failures.

The excuse is always, "well those countries didn't do it right," but that's the outcome of the greed of man and yet we're supposed to somehow believe that America can do it right? When we have showed the world and ourselves how selfish we are? Like I honestly don't get it.

These folks also neglect the fact that the rich donate a shitton of their money to programs that help the poor already since donating money is a cheat code when it comes to taxes.

If anybody praises socialism ask them how much of their money do they donate and that will tell you everything you need to know about their argument.
