If you're not used to dark chocolate I can see them being very difficult to enjoy. But they're so rich and savory, even a bit bitter to a degree.

One time out of curiosity I tried pure baker's chocolate. It was a bit too crazy even for me....LOL

I've had pure 100% in the Amazon. Taste like eating coffee beans. I do enjoy 85% though.

Agreed. Once it hits 90% and above it starts getting too one-note for me (it's hard to taste anything but the cacao's natural bitterness), but 70-85% chocolate is maybe my favorite delicacy.

I enjoy 90%+ dark but some brand just taste better than others.

I enjoy 95% regularly. I add it to my coffee, or just eat it on its own. If I'm feeling up to it, I'll make a raspberry glaze, and drizzle that and the chocolate over some vanilla bean ice cream I make myself.

I've had roasted cocoa nibs (100%), but they're intense... and boring. 72-85% cocoa has a pleasant and dynamic flavor punch that stays with you after eating only a little of it.

I kind prefer 90% and sometimes even I can find it 93% or even 95%

The reason being it tastes so awful I can only eat a small amount before my desire to eat anything at all goes away.

Used to hate it but I kinda got used to it a couple years ago because most vegan chocolate is dark chocolate. I try not to eat chocolate at all anymore but here recently, I did finally get a vegan bar comparable to milk chocolate and it was pretty damn good and made me hate dark chocolate again.

Had 95% at Christmas time. Tasted like cigarette ashes. Seeing some of the responses made me rethink how I'm supposed to taste it.

Really dark chocolate (85 to 100 range) is great for killing cravings. I also find that it expands my flavor profile, we eat so much sweet every day that some balance is good
