She has a high blood pressure problem. So if she eats too much salt, it effects her vision and gives her a bad headache. She doesn't want me to go through that. I'm 36. She wants me to cut out:

Sausage links
Hotdogs
Sour cream and onion potato chips

It's a real drag since I enjoy eating these. I don't have high blood pressure. I'm 30 years younger. I already don't enjoy life, and food is one of the few things that I look forward to.

Eat better or you'll be paying for it in very short order. You're not a kid anymore. You need to take your health seriously. Don't be an unnecessary burden on the medical community for things that can be largely avoided with a slight modification to your diet.

She is right to a extent. I would totally cut out the sausage and potato chips if you aren't leading a very active lifestyle. Sausage is generally super fatty and doesn't even have as much protein as other meats. Most potato chips are garbage food with almost no good nutritional value. Hot dogs could get a pass depending on what they are made out of.

Modern Processed foods needs to start reducing the amount of Salt they put inside.

The amount of Salt that we as a human need each day vs the amount that in it is ridiculous.

There are alot of things you can add that isn't "Salt" that will help with flavor.
