cobra kai running daniel-san off the hill was pretty bad imo. he gets flat out rag dolled but iirc he only ends up with a scratch on the head so i guess it wasnt so bad

Yeah, Karate Kid 1 was pretty believable.

He could've just laid his bike down and slid. There was no need for him to go flipping head over heels down that hill lol

I mean, karate kid is unbelievable, but only because ralph maccio gets good at karate in 5 minutes. That's also a problem in cobra kai, though actually even that's handled much better in season 1 than subsequent seasons (Miguel gets his ass kicked when he overestimates himself early on, that never really happens again to anyone, only dmitri is bad at fighting and that's presented as an attitude issue)

i think it's just that the passage of time is fucked up. tkk does have daniel-san get good at karate in the span of like, a month or two maybe. the show does all these un-presented time skips and relies on ambient details to convey the time progression, but it ends up looking like everyone goes from a 1 to a 10 in no time flat

and ANOTHER thing

it sucks that elisabeth shue played such a bad bad guy in the boys, cuz that's all i can see her as in this

Yeah you could be right, I did have the thought in season 3 that I had no real idea how much time had passed over the course of the series.

At this point you should probably just stop watching the show, TC. If it's too far for you to suspend your disbelief then there's no reason to prolong things.

Alright fully done with the rewatch. 210 is still the worst episode by a lot. Worst issue with season 3 is hawks faceturn out of nowhere. Yeah yeah blah blah he looked remorseful a couple times this season, big whoop. Still came out of nowhere and was unearned as fuck

Can't stop watching this dumbass show. Okay as for the timeline I think season 1 is basically a school year. Then season 2 is summer vacay? Then season 3 is the following school term, first day thru to Christmas. Makes sense for demetris arm then
