It's one thing to park in an open area, it's a completely other thing for them to move a cone and park there. A cone is a universal sign to not occupy an area.

Right now it could just be an innocent communication issue, if they move the cone, they're saying "fuck you, i'm parking here".

Um no if someone is on your property without permission thats trespassing, you dont need a sign telling people not to come into your house without permission.

so if someone knocks on your door you can call the police and have them arrested...for trespassing....

they have to know they dont have permission to be there

1. Get it towed to teach them to never do it again.
2. Talk with them and ask them nicely
3. Leave a note on their car saying "please don't do it again or I will be forced to tow your car"

Lol at this point having a blue lives matter flag is not "respecting the police force". I would maybe give someone the benefit of the doubt a couple years ago. Plus they had Trump and 2nd amendment stickers, pretty clear what kind of person this is

the art of trespassing without signs posted is defined as unlawful staying in private property(of another) without permission after being warned not to be there. IE signs posted or verbal.

that being said, dont key the car. Call 311, cops will make contact with the RO or tow it eventually

If you are afraid of talking to them, just leave a very nice note explaining the situation. If they still park, then put a cone out, if they still park, have it towed and explain to the cops that you fear for your safety.

is that how it works? i been wondering this. i've had a car park in my driveway twice in the last week. came home a week ago to a bunch of cars across the street and a cop car. then one of them parked in my driveway. then the other day i get up at 6am for work and see some other car parked in my driveway. it was gone by time i got up. had it happen a couple times before. never the same car but still annoying and have no idea who it is and don't wanna knock on random doors during a pandemic. generally i just need the 1 spot unless i have someone come over but still don't want some random person using my driveway. definitely not like TC who could cause his house to get targeted by anti trumpers.

This makes me happy that I'm an able bodied asshole. A neighbor did this at my house once and I dragged my garbage cans in front of their car to block them in. Then when I heard them moving the cans I ran out to scream at them. They claimed "They didn't know" whatever the fuck that means.

If they parked in front of your garage, I say the note should have been a friendly warning to move the car, dont park there again, or risk getting your car towed.

Let's you be nice with the situation while letting them know there will be consequences in the future.

They didn't ask permission to do so.

I missed the part where you said you live in an apartment complex. Your apartments may already have deal with a towing company. Might be able to call them and tell them to have the truck towed.
