If you make it yourself, just use less sugar. If you get it in a restaurant, its almost guaranteed to be loaded with sugar.

After living in Korea, I have lost my taste for sugar somewhat. Everything in the US is so packed with sugar and salt, its really atrocious. Last time I went back to visit, I couldnt drink the sweet tea I ordered with my meal, it was disgustingly sweet, gave me a headache. I had to get half and half.

Sweet tea isn't as acidic as most sodas. The sugar content can be just as bad.

Personally, I don't even drink sweet tea or soda more than once a week any more. I mostly drink water or iced coffee (like 12 oz black coffee with a shot of creamer). I got a Dr. Pepper with my lunch the other day and it practically hit me in the face after a long time of not drinking soda.

I like how in the South you can order tea (sweet by default) or unsweet tea. I refer to unsweet tea as the tea of northern aggression
