PS easily.

Xbox controllers feel cheap, have to use shitty batteries like it's 2005, and have an atrocious D-Pad. Plus the triggers break easily, because they're cheap.

Speaking of the Elite. Is the Elite 2 more durable? I bought 2 Elite first generations but both of them kept having the bumpers break. God they were amazing controllers too. I will buy the Elite 2 for sure if that problem was fixed

Ps2 was great but the triggers on 3 buried sony. Ds4 is an incredible controller but Xbox has been more consistent and refined. It's impossible to play an fps ON CONSOLE without it.

As a Playstation person; I prefer Xbox Controllers. They're just more comfortable.

PS wins for fighting games though, hands down. The D Pad on XB is just terrible.

I haven't used a PS5 controller yet, but all the other PS controller are complete garbage. They're too small (and I don't even have large hands), the joystick placement is beyond stupid, and mechanically they suck (I had to replace several PS2 and PS4 controllers over the years meanwhile my 360 never needed a controller replaced once, the console was a piece of shit but the controller was solid).

Like, I don't have an Xbox One, but I have an Xbox One controller for my PC, because there was no way I was voluntarily using a PS4 controller when I didn't have too.

Wii U Pro > Switch Pro >>>>>>>>>>> Xbox >= cheap third party controllers > Sony controllers

Yea, until the internal battery dies and instead of $15 for a new set of rechargeable batteries you get to pay a whole $60 for a new controller.

That's a you problem, there's nothing cheap about eneloop batteries. And you can get charge packs if you really want, then they work just like PS4 controllers.

The rechargables in my Xbox controller lasts a solid 2 weeks before needing to be taken out and recharged. I'll stick with batteries

replacement batteries for these sorts of devices dont sell for more than $20 tops. I replaced a few Amazon KIindle batteries recently for under 10 bucks. it would take less than 20 minutes to replace a series 2 battery and you have have to do that like once every 7 years. still costs less and is more convenient than constantly replacing AA batteries

hence the mention of rechargeable batteries. they're cheaper and last longer.

not to mention the convenience of taking 30 second to swap out and BAM, fully charged controller rather than waiting an hour to play again. and if you wanna bring up "just plug it in an play" you've already lost because of wired controllers.

The elite series 2 xbox controller is the best controller I've ever used Honestly.

The grip, size, adjustable tension, swappable sticks and hair triggers it's the all around best.

Going back to my series X controller while me elite is charging feels like a complete downgrade and the dual sense isnt much better.

microsoft has always made the worst controllers of the 3 (nintendo isn't a part of this question but w/e). from feel standpoint, anyway. the build quality and battery of the ds4 was hot garbage, ngl.

but as far as a conventional controller goes, dual sense has no peer.

I've heard magical things about the Dualsense, but I haven't tried it yet.

compared to the DS4 I honestly prefer the Xbox controller though.

Xbox vibration is better, for certain application.

Haven't tried Series S/X or PS5 controller

The Xbox one controller is god like, but the DS4 motion controls + touch pad work on CEMU so idk

I dont get why people want this so bad. Sure its nice to have... at the start. However, once the battery goes bad then you pretty much have to throw it out and buy another controller. Im
sure there is an annoying way to change out the battery too but more casual people wont bother.

Also, the most annoying part, a battery that is constantly recharged gets worse over time. Nothing is more annoying to me than a controller that constantly dies. I learned this lesson in the 360 days when I got to the point where I was constantly changing out rechargeable batteries. I hated it. So I buy a pack of 100 from Amazon for about 30 bucks. They have a long life and I dont run out of them for over 6 months. Longer if my brother/roommate didnt use them too for his controller

While cordless is convienient if this becomes a problem I just keep it hooked up. Have a 360 controller like that where i bought the rechargeable battery pack with charging cord. Now I just keep the cord hooked up if i decide to break out the 360. I dont mind the AA battery thing if they make stuff like that. That is actually probably the superior route as you get the option on which you prefer. Battery pack goes kaput you just buy a new one instead of a whole controller

I like the feel of playstation controllers overall, however xbox blows them out of the water when it specifically comes to joysticks.

My only problem with console controllers are how they use membrane buttons instead of mechanical switches. I used to have a Razer controller and the buttons felt so goddamn good vs the xbone controller i replaced it with.
