I think the original game is better. I don't think the second game does anything exponentially better than the first game.

I almost think it does a disservice.

As a third person action game lover, I would give the game an 8 out of 10 while I give the first game an 8.5.

Sounds like I'm the only one annoyed at the combat in this game. Got to a point where I stopped playing because I was sick and tired of getting shot by an arrow, which knocked me on my ass. Get back up, only to be knocked down again. Wasn't fun at all.

No complaints about the story and was enjoying it otherwise.

I love the game for that. No other game had me feeling fucking raw at the end. I ran through it in 3 days and God damn this thing just took a goddamn toll on me. Wanted to run through again with a guide for the collectables and my second ever platinum but I had to wait like a month to even try.

This game is fucking art.

Its been $30 new since Black Friday off and on. I would probably just pay the extra $10, but itll be $20 new soon just like Spider-Man, GoW, etc. dropped after about a year.

I could not disagree with this post more, story aside I think it has exponentially better gameplay than the first, it's pretty much a perfect sequel IMO

And that's disregarding the story, I know most hate it but I thought it was as good if not better at times

i just finished the game a few weeks ago and it's definitely worth $20. i get why it gets hate but it was still a really fun game for the 30 hours it takes. yea it has a real depressing tone but it's also set in the end of the world in a zombie apocalypses so what do you expect? and yea first game is better but second is definitely worth a playthrough to see where the story goes.

Yeah, but Id just buy digital so $10 more or wait. Im sure itll end up a PS+ game which is when Ill likely get it or for $5-10 as a sale in a year or two simply cuz I barely buy games anymore.

I also never finished the first and will do that before playing the second. I stopped shortly after Pittsburgh and go back for a little bit every few months. Jeez, I started this game when I got a PS4 in 2014.
