Depends on how much money youre making now vs how much youll be making when you withdraw the funds down the line. With a Roth you pay your taxes now and pay none when you withdraw, and with a traditional IRA you defer the tax to when you cash out. So generally if youre making less money now you might want a Roth, but if youre making more youd want a traditional IRA (though other things like future tax cuts/increases could change the situation somewhat).

Actually, due to a wash sale from yesterdays early loss, its 6,134 shares at $8.01.

Here's my advice.

Sell half at $15. Round up slightly and drop down to say 3000 shares then you know you're up more than your typical EVRI $0.10 sell.

Let the rest ride. Total diamond hands it. You have none of your money in the game at that point. It's all house money so just watch the fireworks.

Trust me. This stock can hit $100 at some point.

Oh man. Im not so sure itll hit $15 let alone $16! Itll be very interesting to see what happens after open. But if it does, then I will follow the advice

My brother's friend got on the GameStop train in November and cashed out (not sure exactly when) for a gain of 67k. He's kicking himself because it could have been hundreds of thousands (I don't know if he closed his positions too early or after trading platforms put the squeeze on retail investors and muscle-tanked GME.

Still, that's the best GME success story I personally know about so I wanted to share.

You want to sell some amount that gives you like a 1k gain and hold the rest through at least next Friday

I don't know but it sure would be prudent of me to take some of my gains and immediately throw them into some of these bigger stocks, wouldn't it?

Extha I'm a bit concerned about your enthusiasm here since you don't do this much. Like it seems like easy money when the shorts are losing but this can come crumbling at any time with another corruption move

Please follow the same advice I gave moonroof. Reduce your investment to half when you're at +100% and keep that money out of the game. Then you don't risk any money

i'm not the best one to ask as my knowledge of specific stock market stuff is outdated by years.
but the general process is still consistent so at the very least do consider what you want to do in your next step and that should be with scenarios of if you make little money, if you make good money, and if you make great money.

So there's this part here when creating an account where they're asking me my objective and the source of funds. "Financial industry regulations require us to collect the information below". Should I just check off all of these options? I mean, its possible in the future that the money I put into this IRA could come from any one of these places, even if its coming from salary now. Does it even matter at all? Is this almost like a survey, and the answers I give have no bearing on my account going forward?

It means he understands that short selling is not going to be profitable in the future for some time. Any heavily shorted stock is going to be bought until the shorts are out. To Citron's credit, they are fast to adapt to the times.

I predict a minor dip at open followed by a brief but powerful surge, then a steady decline. Just my guess.

RH only letting you invest in these stocks if you do five shares or more. Depending on the price Im assuming that number changes.

Predicting a sell off and a surge and then a lockdown followed by panic selling and a weekend of local news talking about what a ponzi scheme these hackerz are getting away with.
