Just realize that diluting shares isn't necessarily a bad thing though because whenever they diluted the shares they were raising capital to put them in a much better position

yeah that feels like all the low price target GME articles and videos we were seeing a couple weeks ago before the blow up as they were trying to control the narrative

I have no confidence in this, but if you forced me to guess I would guess there will be a further squeeze, but only up to $1000 or so. Think that the blatant cheating they did with not letting people buy on Thursday probably bought them enough space to cover enough shorts at low prices to avoid the feedback loop.

Simply it seeing it go down the last few days and fewer people buying to hold.

I think it's pretty obvious the stock price is being MASSIVELY manipulated. Unless the accounts on reddit are ALL lying when they talk about buying the dips and how we're all holding, there's no way any of this makes sense today. On top of that, the information presented about short percentages being covered despite the lack of volume also speaks to shady shit going on.

Like I said I can't wait to get back to crypto after the ups and down of the past 6 days lol

Gotta start somewhere. When I first started 100 shares of AMC would be 3/4 of my portfolio.

I will say if a squeeze happens sell at least half when it doubles. You don't want to get too greedy even if you're playing with low numbers. Get your gains.

To follow up on this, apparently Coinbase just throws crypto at you when you get started. I watched a dozen videos about a handful of different cryptos and was given small chunks to get started and I now have a portfolio of $36 on Coinbase without having to put in any money myself.

I'm still waiting for Binance.Us to verify me so I can do stuff there, but in the mean time I'll diversify my free $36 and try to catch some small gains with it by rotating it through different cryptos that are experiencing rises.

Did you answer the questions? Every video was followed by a (ridiculously easy) question about that particular currency and so I earned $1-$3 per video/question until i'd exhausted all their available freebies.

Currently I'm planning on dividing my free money between 5 different cryptos and then moving it to a new crypto every time it sees a small gain (maybe 3% or so?). But I'm honestly not sure what good strategies are for cryptos other than the "sit on the random ass crypto valued at .00000001 and hope it gets popular some day".

Yep! It was a lot of work! i'm unbelievably buttmad about this

I'm really not sure what I would do with Crypto either. I feel like dividing some money between 2-5 decent looking currencies is what I'll start with and get a feel for what happens. I have no idea how much of that will turnout to be throwing money away vs holding or even gaining value.

If you have 450k at all youre more likely to be able to lose money than if you have $150 at all. The person who lost $50 would still be more screwed over than the person who lost $150k because they still have barrels more money to invest again while the other person is eating ramen for the month for daring to try and stonk. Its just a stupid thing to say.

there seems to be enough variance and oscillation on some cryptos that I should be able to reliably get a small 2 or 3% gain as long as I'm not moving a chunk to them just as it hits an all time high.

So i'll try putting $7.20 into 5 different cryptos and waiting for them to hit $7.42 before moving them into a different crytpo that is at a lower end of an oscillation. Repeat ad naseum, so it will keep moving unless I end up in 5 different cryptos that all continue to lose value or never strike a 3% increase.

well, today was poopy.

Closed out of my AMC positions. Didn't make sense to leave them open as they were open on a theory that retail buyers would get excited and buy. With a 30% gamestop loss today that just doesn't make narative sense any more. I almost panic sold earlier today but waited it out, and now I'm rational selling. Oh well

If it keeps dropping I'll buy back in but holding on now seems like gambling at this point

Oh well. Still made like $3000 on AMC over the course of the week even with todays $600 loss

The other side of this is thinking how easy it is to replace the money. Most people will be able to replace $150 eventually by working. It's very hard to save up $450k.

You just play like a freak. If I had your funds I'd have so much diversity that movement would not phase me because it'd all be +/- $100 and I'd have 100k

Sunroof, you have full control over how much you are comfortable risking. You can easily put $140k into a safe ETF and only risk $10k or $1k or whatever you think is fine here. You seem to be stuck in this mindset of "I have $25k, i need to put this into something right now and then take it out and then put it into something else." You need to shake this off. You have choice which is extremely powerful.

Chaos's notion that it's not a big deal for somebody to lose $150K if they have $450k total is just as shortsighted and steeped in bitterness

I bought 5 stock the other day for the first time literally my first time buying stock and it was all I could afford without being out on my ass. I saw someone say later to someone else in this topic that 200 stock or was it 200$ bucks, either way, wasn't even worth it and and you wouldn't want to waste your free time on stocks if that's all you can get. Pretty damn disheartening considering that first was all I could get. "Well just save money!" I have to spend literally every scrap of money every single time I get money just to maintain. And I said it wasn't as big of a deal. If 150$ guy loses 50$ then he's worrying about being out on the street, if 450k$ guy loses 150k$ he is definitely not worried about being out on the street. There's nothing stopping 450k$ guy from buying just the 50$ like 500 times more than the poor guy and make 500 times more gains than him in the example and you don't think it's dumb to say it's harder for moneybags over there to invest than someone barely surviving? I just get a no in response because you know it was dumb but you've gotta double down.

also Moonroof you say a lot of things like "well it looks like AMC and GME are done" multiple posts in a row and it strikes me that you're more trying to convince yourself than anything.

Before Thursday, no. I had no intent to stick around past Friday. Was looking to 2x and get the hell out.

Then Thursday happened and everything changed. It became a point of morality to stand up against the utterly criminal things that were done. I believe that there are enough people from WSB and otherwise who feel the same as I do that we can make this squeeze happen.

I'm willing to be wrong here but I truly don't think that's going to happen.

Well, I wish you good luck. I admit to being pumped as well, seeing all those posts about $GME being on billboards, on the fucking Times Square, and airplanes flying with this message as well was really inspiring and made me feel like wanting to be part of something big

But at the end of the day, what really matters to me are numbers. If it looks like it's trending down, I am getting the fuck out of there. And looks like today it was "worth it" to avoid a 30% loss.
Still, I wish you the best and I really hope that things will start looking positive again and I will hop on the bandwagon again
