There's a calendar in Maria's born from a wish scenario that shows a November starting on Thursday, which she says was from 10 years ago. Some peoples had worked that out to fit 1984, with the game taking place in 1994, but I suppose, that would also work for the game taking place in 1983, just shortly after Silent Hill 1.

I did enjoy Homecoming, but I don't really consider the games that weren't made by Team Silent to be in the same continuity as those made by them unless if stated otherwise

Yeah its worth noting that beyond SH4 it was a whole different team making the games

That being said, despite being the same "team" if you look for reoccurring names across SH1-4 credits You'll only find a handful
