I dunno I get them through the Microsoft Store tbh. It shows an install button at the top of the page

Maybe that particular game was pulled, but they leave it up to buy for people who didn't finish it before the game left. Try a different game, there should be an install option.

Yeah look up something like Gears 5 or Halo MCC, if it doesnt let you install those for free then theres something wrong

yeah I dunno why this is never brought up but the user experience for Game Pass on PC seems to be a hot mess unfortunately

Did you just redeem a code? I did for the first time earlier this month and it took a little bit before I could download anything. Had the same "buy" option.

If you just got it, you generally just have to restart the app for it to work right. I use the Xbox app for all my installations via Game Pass. My wife's was giving her trouble, but a restart fixed it. Its also a matter of making sure you have the right pass.
