I actually...

according to statistics, 85% of people start with their bottom teeth first when flossing...and people who start at the top are actually very rare.

so where do you start?

I start with the top, simply for the fact that anything that falls out would be caught again when I flossed the bottom.

Flossing starting from the bottom is like mopping the floor first and then cleaning the counters, which would then drop dust back to the floor... <.<

Doesn't really matter with my Waterpik: the water with all of the captured food and plaque immediately goes right down the drain.

Its like cleaning or painting, you start high and end low.

If you floss the bottom first an then the top, all the stuff from the top falls to the bottom

Anything that gets so stuck that you have to use floss to clean won't fall down and get stuck again between the bottom teeth with just gravity lol.

It's just baffling that one of the person that thinks this is a moderator too.

I'm also assuming everyone at least does another round of brushing and rinsing with or without toothpaste after flossing otherwise I'd be quite disgusting.

I floss, rinse, brush, and then 30 mins later mouthwash. You're not suppose to rinse after brushing.

I start from the bottom middle, going to the left side first, then the right. Same for the top.

Fuck that noise. It's only about leaving fluoride on your teeth long enough to be absorbed by the enamel, and between not rinsing toothpaste or mouthwash, I'd rather have fluoride mouthwash as it doesn't feel nearly as gross in my mouth
