I think Ethereum is way better than Bitcoin in terms of practical use and has way more upside and less downside but I'm not an expert in the topic.

Like if you think country independent digital currency is going to become the new norm someday and trust that idea more than the possibility that there'll be a hiccup for the Bitcoin algorithm that's why you buy Bitcoin

Ethereum you're basically buying bits of decentralized cloud computing platform and assuming companies will be into that development space. It also works as a currency but there's more to it than that.

May want to google it up a bit.

Yeah, on the bright side, that commission might teach you the feeling of holding for months or years. After you've done it, you may be able to do it with stocks too, which in the end will probably make you money.

I feel like if I invest in crypto and hold it for twenty years itll be huge at some point during that time span. I would treat crypto the same way I do my retirement portfolio and not my stock portfolio.

I honestly think thats a terrible idea. They find a flaw in the code and it could be worthless. Or if crypto just goes away

Maybe Ill just do $5k then. Thats barely a dent in my portfolio and I can easily forget about that for decades. If it goes to zero, that sucks but it couldve been worse if I put more in. If it goes up a ton then sure I miss out on gains but at least Im diversifying more.

I think it's a good idea to put a small percentage of assets in crypto. Don't forget about it for decades though - check in once in a while to see how it's doing. No need to check every day but the situation can definitely change on a timescale much less than decades.

No offense but you don't know what you're talking about in this specific subject. The demand is so high right now even new booster boxes are sold out everywhere and Aquapolis is 20 years old almost.

Also they reprinted hidden fates, a new set two years ago, 3 times and it is now still 3-4x MSRP everywhere. They only want to print so much before moving on to new stuff

I'm eyeing the $3 call, 3/19 expiry which is currently going for $0.43. Going to grab a few dozen probably.

No guarantees here I just think the stock price movement and the Twitter being more active means next earnings call (which will be before contract expiry) is going to be big.

They have all kinds of trials going on, some preclinical, and others in phase 2 and 3 with results to be reported before the end of the year. And their managagement team looks top class. That guy's DD checks out, not sure what to make of a $50 price target though and if that's feasible. If so holy shit

Basically it sounds like you should have exclusively A tickers in your portfolio in the coming weeks - AVCTW, ATHX, ATNF, possibly AMC but probably not - for maximum profit

I dunno man, I've traded biotech before these guys frankly look like one of the most impressive I've seen. The guys they're merging with, anyway. Shit I'll wait for the discord to do more DD but maybe buying and holding this one for the whole year. Those warrants are both too expensive and too hard to find good info on what happens to them post merger to touch though. But I sure can ride commons from 5 to 50+

I strongly disagree. I actually really like it, feels like I'm solving a case or something, slowly putting puzzle pieces together to form a plausible thesis. The one thing I don't like is doing DD with the discord and asking things like "what form did you find the warrant info on?" and them just all kind of ignoring my newbie ass

But yeah, with companies like SPACs, management is everything. Of the A companies I mentioned, I'd say they all have very good management. AVCT (tech not biotech) and ATNF in particular have really stellar management teams with track records spanning many successful companies. I like ATHX's too, but I'm more bullish on them for the trials. Some people on the management team have worthwhile histories, but a lot have just been at Athersys the whole time, building themselves up. Lopen is deeper on the research with them though; if he disagrees take his word over mine here.

These are all winning plays imho. I'm excited to watch my portfolio this year. ATHX seems to not be as long term a hold, Lopen? You just want to hold until a 100% gain or so, but not hold them all year even if the stock is still going up?

For the record, reading financial filings does put me to sleep. But reading about management's visions for their respective companies and their histories and all of those sorts of things, I really like. And more often than not, it's pretty easy to spot shitty management from a mile away.

Question for the topic: How many stocks do you own at a time? Right now I'm at 15, which is the highest it's been since I started. SPCE is the biggest holding at 37%. I will probably decrease SPCE to 20% or so before the test flight and maybe increase the number of stocks held to 20 or so.
