I only knew a little of him when I started playing Minecraft in like 2010. Then he sold to Microsoft and fucked off with his money.

Then next I hear of him it's 2017 and he's tweeting racist, sexist, homophobic shit and going on weird rants.

but i can't imagine living in a country you're not from and isolating yourself all alone in a giant mansion is good for your mental state

I remember he outbid Jay-Z on a candy house that he now spends all his time in, and the only social activity he seemed to get was his twitter account, which he later deleted as part of a completely unenforceable agreement where the other party (Game Maker's Toolkit) would stop talking politics, thus bringing back "the old internet."

i mean i miss when the internet was just funny pictures and not a tool of radicalization used by the far right, but still lol

IIRC GMT wasn't even particularly political, he just made a few comments about how he was removing automatic ads from his videos because they were showing Trump/Republican stuff and his viewers were getting annoyed.
