If you want to know what this does, it gives you either a mask shard or a magic meter shard at 3k.

Assuming you mean the Dream Wielder charm, I thought the same thing, but it does have its uses. The game isn't super obvious about this, but Dream Nailing living enemies refills your magic meter. This is extremely difficult to do normally, but it's very feasible with that charm equipped. As a bonus, it also doubles the magic you get from doing it.

It's useful in certain areas where you get very little magic otherwise.

after hours i finally figured out where to go. just opened a door in ancient basin

omg dodge roll unlocked. fucking finally.

i played til 4 AM last night

got something called abyssal shriek after button mashing in the ancient basin. looked it up after, apparently i had to "howling shriek" in that room in order to unlock it. i have no memory whatsoever of unlocking howling shriek, but in times of duress i have noticed the attack but never thought anything of it

killed a couple more "bosses" whose names i cant remember. pretty sure quirrel is a bad guy btw

should i be killing ghosts?

dream gate is a dope power. the trams are dope as well. having significantly more fun, even i still constantly dunno where to go

The ghosts at the "Warriors Graves" net you a nice amount of Essence.

More random ghosts dotted around the place only give you one Essence.

You can kill any of them, all of them, or none of them.

yeah i knew about the warriors, killed mad graves already. i just didnt know if it was worth to erase the nice ghosts from existence. i accidentally killed groundskeeper willie, for instance

oh also i forgot to mention the sarlacc gave me a journal with a poor layout

The nice ghosts only give you one. Killing them isn't really necessary. The warriors and other stuff give you more than enough essence to unlock all the rewards.

If you don't save cloth from the ancient basin until after you fight the traitor lord, she'll hang around for a bit longer before leaving to parts unknown

I tried to do the flower quest like 4 goddamn times and wasted so much time. Gave up, inadvertently activated the hollow knight. Almost kicked his ass but he got me. Went thru a bunch of phases

Beat, got what can only be the bad ending, in a blatant plagiarism of dark souls mind you. 70% completion. Ending was bad enough to ruin the game and drain me of any desire to play more. Guess it was worth 10 bucks though

now to go straighten my hair

alright fine. say i was to oh, idk, boot it up again or something. would the game have saved my shit from before i fought the HK, or will i have to start from scratch? i'll actually try the flower thing again if it lets me. also i'll look for the cheap other half of the mask i got

There's a really easy way of doing this. Put a dreamgate at her house and just go through the route. You can bring a flower along just in case you do it, but it's not necessary. Then dreamgate back to her house and grab the flower. So long as you don't sit on a bench, most enemies won't respawn.

it also helps to equip the charm that lets you shoot beams out with your nail

Oh, you can still save him then. It's only the first time when he's getting eaten by the giant pincer fly that he'll die.

delicate flower quest is really easy if you cheese it though
tbh the hardest part is just timing that little dash through the thorns at the very end, everything else is a breeze

Oh, I wanted to mention too.

That was actually the happy ending for Cloth. She came to Hallownest specifically to find a glorious death so she could be with her late girlfriend.
