If you were attracted to someone and didn't know whether they were trans or cis, but stopped being attracted because you found out they were trans, you're treating them differently than you would a cis person of the same appearance and gender.

The only difference is that they're trans. And a negative bias against trans people is, without any embellishment or equivocation, transphobia.

no, because it's almost certainly not true.

if you stop finding a woman attractive after you learn that she's trans, that's a pretty big tell that there are some other issues going on.

if you stop finding her compatible, then you're probably getting out for an honest reason.

It's not like anyone is going to break down your door and force you to date a fat person. This is all limitations you're placing on yourself. It's ultimately all you and what you consider a dealbreaker.

Sharing that information publicly is where things start to get beyond "personal". Because it begs the question "why do you feel comfortable sharing that information in such a public forum?"

The real question this topic is asking isn't "Why won't you date transgendered people?" The real question is "Why do you feel comfortable admitting to CE that you'd never date a trans person?"

I didn't say that. I said it was "discrimination", and I'd be factually correct. You're the one trying to fill in "bigotry" and some kind of moral code to this.

Saying you'd never date a Trumper is discrimination.

Saying you'd never date a man is discrimination.

Saying you'd never date an abuser is discrimination.

That sounds like 100 percent bait.

If youre correct, then TC never actually wanted honest answers, if they differed from TCs bias. You might as well just tell people what answer is acceptable and ban them if they dont comply.

Im genuinely not sure why this shitshow hasnt been locked yet, but anyone who overuses the terms a trans, transgendered, biologically (insert gender), or suddenly decides the ability to have kids of their own is the single most appealing aspect of a relationship even though they never want them, is PROBABLY a transphobe.

As someone that would date a trans girl and has had sex with trans women before, its perfectly acceptable for a man not to feel comfortable dating or having sex with a trans woman. Now there can obviously be transphobic reasons for not wanting to date trans people, but from judging the responses that doesnt appear to be the case within this topic. You can respect and support the trans community without feeling sexual attraction for trans people.

How does that saying go again? Woman are not obligated to have sex with you....yet for whatever reason heterosexual men are obligated to have sex and date trans women (or be open to the idea) otherwise theyll be labeled transphobes. You realize this rhetoric holds back the LGBTQ movement correct?
