Ive never tried that, does it come out significantly better than boiling it in a pot for ten minutes? What does the slow cooker do to make it tastier?

I think it's a great thing to celebrate other cultures and try out new and different things. It means you're an open minded person and also adventures. Only times it can be wrong is when you try to own the culture for yourself or spread misinformation of the culture you're using.

I boiled the noodles and then threw it all in the crock pot but the recipe said you don't have to boil the noodles first.

Slow cookers just make life easier, they don't make life better. You put things in, you wait. Eventually its done.

Might be harder to gauge how done the spaghetti is though, as you dont want to lift the lid until its finished.

Controversial opinion but I think bolognese is a pasta that is fine with overcooked spaghetti

Otherwise I would agree that I wouldn't use a slow cooker for something like this

Slow Cookers are like Rice Cookers, they make life so much easier. Why boil a pot of rice when I can stick it in a rice cooker, and in 35 minutes it comes out perfect every time. I'll throw in a pound of pork butt, some spices, citrus wedges and a bit of orange juice and in 14 hours it'll be perfectly cooked.

Uhhh rice cookers are the same as a crock pot?

Kind of but the difference is that you can't really improve on rice with any other technique compared to using a rice cooker, whereas with slow cookers you're deliberately taking a quality hit for the sake of ease.
