The Super Nintendo one is up there, and then some GBA and DS entries who have names I don't remember.

Aria of Sorrow and the DS games are all excellent. Hell, I'd put them ahead of SotN...

I think it's a game that's greater than the sum of its parts. It lowkey has a lot of bad design to it but there's just an overall unshakable coolness factor to it. Plus like you alluded to it's fairly easy, and I'd take a poorly designed easy game over a frustrating one any day. It's a lot of fun if you don't think too much about shit like how a lot of the map doesn't make sense or how the second half of the game almost totally abandons its genre's core appeal of ability-based progression

SotN has an amazing OST, and I've only played Aria of Sorrow after it, but I get the feeling the other games in the series improve on the gameplay and map design a lot. Stuff like the subweapons from the classic games don't make sense in their current state, especially with the mechanics Alucard has in his repertoire. At least AoS integrated those weapons into a soul collection system.

2nd is definitely Aria of Sorrow.

Fwiw, people should also watch the anime on Netflix if they haven't already.
