Yep pretty much. The reason why he doesnt want kids is because his dad thought he was a dumb motherfucker when he was young because he couldn't speak without stuttering heavily. He ends up improving his speech along with being adept in other fields for a Duke but the father still calls him his worst disappointment. This along with the father not caring about the mother (who died after childbirth) made the main guy swear that he'll never continue the lineage while his father was on his deathbed.

I didn't watch much so I have no idea if that's like near the start or finale spoilers.

Haven't seen my partner watch it since so I assume she finished the available episodes.
Yeah it's a lot of pride and whatnot. But I guess these are different times and whatever lol
