i can't even tell you how many times i played through metroid prime and fusion as a kid...upwards of 10 times each lol

recently played through MP2 on dolphin. still a good game with minor flaws (wtf seeker missile backtracking like why tho?)

hey MP4 is like my number one reason for getting a switch and that EFFING GAME hasn't come out yet

haha nope. i remember it being very close like only having one energy tank left, but generally speaking you can dodge everything besides his BS boosts throughout the arena. and then you're given a lot of health.

i died a lot as a kid but eh...it's not as bad as people chalk it up to be

but seriously though, at that point in the game you have maybe 4 energy tanks and it does like 60 damage per hit

i was fucking shaking by the time I finally managed to beat it

I can't think like that. Otherwise that means I wasted my money. I wanted MP4 and Bayonetta 3 and aside from them saying MP4 was restarted with Retro doing it, we haven't heard shit.

or, you know, you could just try out some other games? the Switch has a pretty decent library, believe it or not

buying a console for several hundred bucks just to play one game that isn't even out yet is rather moronic

the switch has definitely had some good games, for sure. but i bought the thing three years ago expecting to have a bayonetta and a new metroid by now. seeing as they were advertised three years ago...

It'll come out, I'm sure. My hope is that it actually turns out good, though. Retro Studios has a good track record though...for the projects that actually manage to get past pre-production at least. (The time between DKC Tropical Freeze and when they got a hold of MP4 was a period of a lot of cancelled projects it seems.)

hell yeah dude. did you like fusion? Fusion, Prime, Super and Zero are all fantastic games. The rest are also worth playing if you find yourself enjoying those (AM2R being amazing, Samus Returns is fine, Metroid Prime 2 is good)

I remember hating the game the first time that I played it, I never got much further than the first couple of powerups
Then I finally played Super Metroid, and went back to Metroid Prime and then I finally got it and now I adore it.

I have. That doesn't change that I truly bought it for MP4 though and if it doesn't come out then I can feel like I wasted my money since the product I wanted was never released.

God they butchered Samus. I always pictured her as a dominating physical presence, taller than most men, why was she shrunken down to be so small compared to the others? Why was she so submissive? Of all games to be voiced, I really thought Metroid would make a smooth transition but she sounded so meek, nothing like the woman that was built up before this point!
