You're right of course, but there's no reason for me to get fuming mad whenever people talk about going out partying

To clarify: I'm not suddenly okay with people going out for leisure. I will just no longer angerly lash out at those people. I can't blame people for being...let's say people. The only thing in my control is how I react, and I don't want to be an angry little steam engine anymore.

Trying to control your own anger and not letting things bother you is a valuable skill and goal. And good for you for trying to better yourself!

However, I don't think you need to apologize. You were in the right.

I'm not talking covid denier. I mean there've been tons of people here posting about going to weddings, casinos, restaurants, bars, cafes, strangers' houses, parties, theme parks, family's house (holidays), etc etc etc

i just wanted to respond to this; i remember seeing at least one person i thought was pretty cool and a decent poster basically downplay it constantly, but this was also almost a year ago. what a disappointment, though.

Have you given up on any of them? I've gone off on a couple and ghosted a few others. No contact anymore at all. A few months ago a friend asked if I wanted to come to a small party he was having and man, I blew the fuck up on him so hard. I thought he'd be indignant about it but he sounded more sad than anything

The first cases of the south african strain were spotted in the US today. The vaccine is virtually ineffective against it, and you can definitely get it if you've already had Covid.

This pandemic will never end because people are completely irresponsible. This is why covid ignorers suck. They want short term half-assed freedom over long-term things go back to what they were.

I know some that are dead now. It's important they get #shamed because it's the only thing even slightly effective with terrible leadership in power all over the states. A musician I know got it from playing at a bar full of covidiots, gave it to his parents, and now both parents are dead.

It's already evolved into something worse, more infectious; what happens if it turns even deadlier?

I'd rather say I shamed tf out of people and was on the right side of history when we're all underground in bunkers because of the plague walkers than on the wrong side, you know, above ground with the plague walkers.
