1.5 and 2.5 are compilations of I, Chain of Memories, II, and Birth by Sleep, with some movies for some of the less important games.

2.8 has a special thing tied to Birth by Sleep, and KH3D, IIRC

Okay, so you know how KH1 had a Final Mix version, and there was that Chain of Memories game?

Those are the games in Kingdom Hearts I.5, just in HD.

KH2 has a Final Mix version, and there is also Birth by Sleep.

Those are the games in Kingdom Hearts II.5, in HD, same deal.

Some other games in the series (e.g. Re:coded, 358/2 Days) have movie sequences summarizing the events in the games on each of those.

Kingdom Hearts 2.8 has Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, again remastered in HD. It also has "Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep A fragmentary passage " -- a sort of episode thing tied to a character from Birth by Sleep.

So basically, I.5, II.5, and 2.8 are mostly just remasters of old titles, plus a little extra.

2.5 is the second HD collection. It had "Kingdom Hearts 2," "Birth by Sleep," and a movie for "Re:coded."

Then they made another collection called "1.5 + 2.5" which combined them both.

2.8 is a third HD collection with "Dream Drop Distance," a movie based off the phone game called "Back Cover," and another short little whatever called "Birth by Sleep 0.2".
