I assume there are others. On paper I'm doing much better than I was last year, but no matter how many days off from work I take, I just can't get outta this haze. On workdays I just zombie shuffle outta bed, zombie shuffle with low effort at work, zombie shuffle home and dick around til bed

Getting hard for stuff to hold my attention for more than a couple hours at a time. I need frequent breaks when I'm gaming, which never used to be the case. Somehow I am maintaining the energy to keep my room/living space tidy, but that's such a small thing

It takes effort to even think. Need a game-changer to shake things up in my life man

Yeah, not as sharp as I used to be. Kind of a feeling similar to when you say the same word over and over again and eventually you're not saying the word, just using your mouth to produce sound, except in this case it's my life. I'm aware that probably made little sense, lol.

Yeah I hate where I'm at right now in many aspects. Even basic things that I normally am on top of seem more daunting than usual and I'm wasting a lot of time doing unproductive things.

well i'm not gonna be hard on anyone for it anymore. none of it matters, nothing really matters anymore

i've got a potentially good day ahead of me tomorrow, going to the doc hopefully for some good news. nothing serious or urgent but it would give me a mood boost if it goes well

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

my sleep has improved a lot, that is to say i usually sleep thru the night. maybe wake up once for 60 seconds, but not really beyond that. could stand to get maybe another hour or two per night, but i'll take what victories i can. my new sheets and mattress topper, along with weighted blanket have worked wonders. diet needs work. i subsist on frozen dinners and hot pockets, but i dont have reasonable kitchen access atm

For the most part I'm the same way. I can still think, though I have a messy room, never really got out of that habit. It's not really that I need something to shake up my life but I just want to win the lotto so I can sleep my life away hahahaha but yeah everything else I agree with except for the last parts. Yeah getting incredibly burnt out at work. I don't know if that would've been avoided by staying at the office but some of the fun stuff like "you can just wake up and go straight to your desk" got old a long time ago. I am technically allowed to go into the office and I might do it sometimes but it's just obviously not the same now. I feel you also on taking days off not helping, I mean what am I gonna do besides stay home and be freezing my ass off?

Doing fun stuff after work is hard too cause it's like, okay I could go over to the couch ten feet away from work. I'm pretty good at "unplugging" in terms of not checking work stuff, but it just doesn't feel like there's a real break where the day ends anymore.

Yeah, work sucks. I go into hte office 1-3 times a week, which I hate in idea, but I typically feel good after doing it. Things get boring doing the same things after work each day. Should try to get more exericise in my routine. Typically play piano for 30-60 min after work, play some video games, prepare dinner, hang with the girl. then find something to do at night before bed.

It's all a blur and osmetimes forget what day it is. Just feels like work never ends and I am slower than I've ever been in getting work done, making it feel worse and more daunting to get work done.

Something About The Way Society Was Exposed As Complete Illusion Over Past Year Really Getting Man Down Today

VANCOUVER, WAUnable to shake off an overall negative feeling he couldnt attribute to anything in particular, local man Paul Carpenter confirmed Monday that something about the way society was exposed as a complete illusion over the past year was really getting him down today. Maybe its just quarantine talking, but the reality dawning on me that American life is a fundamentally hollow cesspool of spectacle and misery is really bumming me out lately, said Carpenter, adding that he had the vague idea that living in a social system based on brutal competition that made all human relationships transactional and perverted the very idea of community might have something to do with it. I cant put my finger on it, but maybe Im just really tired of the coronavirus pandemic, which wasnt mishandled as some people say but in fact shown to be rationally handled by a group of insulated wealthy individuals who can pursue their greedy desires with the full knowledge that a vast percentage of Americans are economically superfluous and thus willing to fight among themselves for scraps? On the other hand, though, maybe its the stress of a news cycle in which people from both political parties are invested in a series of increasingly baroque conspiracy theories guided by the grotesque and increasingly obvious lies we tell ourselves about American exceptionalism thats making me feel kind of sad. Theres just this nagging feeling I have that it became very clear over the past 12 months that the basic building blocks of society are crumbling and there is absolutely no plan for changing anything at any level to avoid plunging the vast majority of humanity into cycles of ever-worsening suffering and violence. Maybe its just that being fundamentally powerless and living among other similarly disenfranchised, surveilled, and downtrodden people have made me feel completely alienated from any kind of community at all, or maybe I just need to get more sleep. Carpenter added that he did plan to address the way hed been feeling lately, perhaps by tuning out of the news and letting other people who werent ever even afforded the option to believe in the illusions of American society figure out what to do, or by trying to exercise more.

Im still feeling absolutely stuffed after last year.

I mean, I was lucky, I got a temporary promotion while I was filling in for someone and this year its been made permanent, but the last half of last year was the most insane in terms of workload Ive ever had.

Ive just found out Ill be getting another temporary promotion, but in a few months will be a new phase of the project. Followed by the same level of workload x3 second half of the year, plus all the BAU stuff.

I know I cant complain since Ive still got a job and Im incredibly grateful for the advancement opportunities, but its going to be stressful as fuck.

Found out that the person who got selected for "employee of the year" at my organization gets to go up to compete at the level of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Feeling kind of bummed about that, but it wasn't my time. Doubt I'll get another shot anyway -_-.

And just don't feel like doing shit. Have schoolwork due tonight and I don't even care.
