Generally speaking, people don't need to swim. If you didn't grow up near a beach or pool, you'd never have a chance or a need to learn. I'm glad I did grow up one five-minute drive from a beach though. Swimming is fun. --- I'm sorry, but 10,000 of ANYTHING on a PS2 would absolutely destroy your framerate. Whenever we'd go swimming(at a local creek), and I'd ask, dad would walk me up to the bridge crossing it and threaten to throw me over. The one time my mom convinced him to actually help, he took me to the deeper area and held me under. So, after that I never asked again and had become afraid of deep water. I have kind of learned how over years later just by playing around in pools and such, never deeper than chest deep though.
