I mean, its dumb, sure. They put up some very disingenuous quotes, probably from family or employees and probably scripted, but I dont see the cult comparison at all.

just looking at the questions, i can pretty well guess most people get the results for the person they most want to be, not the person they actually are. i would guess a lot of people will get INTJ or INTP, believing themselves to be highly intelligent and logical, when in reality they are overtly emotional and probably around average intelligence (i mean, aren't most of us?). interesting test, but i would put exactly 0 faith in the results.

If only there were other versions of this same test where some of the respondents mentioned getting the same result, or if there were some independent way of verifying intelligence like, idk, an education system or something where individuals might graded and maybe even national ratings for these education institutions so you could see how one might stack against another.

And while people can always consciously or unconsciously gravitate towards answers that they think might get them the results they want, from what I saw just now it doesn't seem like the questions are necessarily laid out in such a manner that facilitates the most blatant steering. Not to mention that your supposition that people would necessarily *try* to get certain results is at least moderately flawed and, from a technical standpoint, the test ultimately isn't about intelligence anyway. Any of these personality types could be associated with a highly intelligent person because personality and intelligence don't necessarily go hand-in-hand.

And if your argument is the usual "well, there are just INTJs or INTPs than the general population," then you might want to stop and think whether Gamefaqs is representative of the population at large.
