It's freezing in here we have a small gas stove to heat up food and stuff but it's really cold in here and it's really dark outside like pitch black. It's like on the games where you only see what the flashlight shows you that's how it is outside. All I hear is the police passing by as well no cars at all. I can't make any calls at all but I'm able to receive calls. I can text and my phone internet works as well.

What exactly happened with the power? Is it because everyone was using space heaters and stuff?

They say the windmills are frozen but that's bullshit. Downtown is completely bright all the emtpy buildings have the heaters on and all the lights are on as well.

I know the Joel Osteen church has light it's being used as shelter but they have their own power source same for all the gallery furniture stores.

They say that they're cycling the electricity around cutting it off for some and giving it others but we haven't gotten any back. I've heard of others getting it back and then it goes away after 2-4 hours or so.

The electric power plants down in Texas aren't properly winterized so when they freeze over, you get these widespread power outages.

they weren't winterized because the owners didn't feel like dipping into their profits to pay for it and the government didn't make them because MUH FREEDOMS. this is the power of the free market being free.

Candles are good to have.
Also have a desk lamp that's rechargeable so full charge and I'd be good for a bit.

Went 3 days without power a few years ago
