The danger is unleashed only if you substantially disturb this place physically. This place is best shunned and left uninhabited.

apparently it's also sealed with multiple layers of granite walls, each one inscribed with that warning wirtten in different languages.



imagine 10,000 years later our civilization were wiped, and the remnants of humanity built anew with less level of current tech and they excavate this by accident and wipe themselves out blaming it on "ancient curse" or "devil buried inside the earth"

TIL the entrance to nuclear waste disposal site in Finland will be left unmarked, the networks of tunnels filled and sealed wtih concrete, and the entrance covered with soil to make it literally indistinguishable from the surrounding landscape.

that's probably the better way to do it since we are just innately curious, and that is a trait i feel is shared if a species were to evolve into a civilization.

if you leave cryprtic message, mysterious diagrams and symbols, surrounded by pillars of obelisks of unknown materials (assuming it's a less advanced civlization, say something like victorian era level of tech where deep earth excavation is possible, but they don't know what radiation is) they re gonna fucking dig it open
