They can afford all sort of policies that they brag makes them better (eg deregulation and low taxes) because they know daddy government will bail them out if the proverbial poop hits the proverbial fan. they pretend to want to be secessionists but if they had to pay for their own military, defense, their own coin, their own federal roads, theyd be paying like 3x the taxes --- Welcome to the Spore Store! Big Bend is my personal favorite, but I'm from the coastal marshlands where we have a lot of animal preserves, and the piney woods in east texas are great hiking and camping. Central Texas with the rolling hills is absolutely beautiful country, and the canyons of the panhandle are gorgeous and great camping.
