You basically take a big old leg of lamb marinaded in typical greek flavours and rest it on a bed of potatoes and braise/roast it for hours. There's no way this will not be good.

Any greeks have some protips though?

I need to explore lamb. Never cooked lamb and barely eaten any. Maybe after Ive explored Indian cuisine. Well I can use lamb with that too I guess.

Lamb is quite polarising I think. For some people it's their favourite meat, for others its horrible.

Personally I think its pretty incredible. It's somehow succulent and gamey at the same time. And yes indian food uses a LOT of lamb, because it holds up really well in curries (and any kind of long, slow cooking).

To clarify, a lot of Hindus are vegetarian, so they don't use lamb as much. But cuisines of neighboring countries that don't have large Hindu populations use lamb a lot (such as Pakistani)

Ah ok fair. I suppose when I'm talking about indian food I'm talking about BIR food.

I wish they sold lamb here like they sell beef and pork, lamb is usually at thr special meat section and more expensive and stuff. Its not that popular.
