A federal jury has indicted an Arkansas man on a number of charges after he allegedly used a flag pole to beat a police officer during the January 6 attack on the Capitol.
Peter Stager, 41, is accused of using a dangerous or deadly weapon to "forcibly assault, resist, impose, impede, intimidate and interfere with an officer," in Washington, DC, last month, according to an indictment unsealed on Wednesday.
Stager is facing a total of seven charges including entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds with a deadly or dangerous weapon, and engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds with a deadly or dangerous weapon, in connection to the attack.
Two of the charges against Stager"obstruction of an official proceeding and aiding and abetting" and "assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers using a dangerous weapon"carry a maximum penalty of 20 years in jail.

Ill believe it when I see it.

Maybe he will get a mystery Mexican vacation before his sentence (true story), or he will get luxurious organic non-GMO food (true story) or he will give a false address and the courts are gonna be like oh well (true story).

I have zero trust on how these cases are being handled right now

It's an open and shut case of stupid games and stupid prizes.

I'd rather be brought before a firing squad than have to face four decades of confinement. But then I don't go around beating officers of the law with flag polls or attempting to overthrow democratically elected officials.

Lawsuits would have to go through the court system, which Republicans wont have nearly as much power.

That's what I'm saying. I want to believe that they'll administer true justice but considering the courts tend to align with the police and are on the same side, I'm afraid that they'll just give them a bunch of slaps on the wrist.

Siding with cops isnt the same as siding with Trump. This time his lawyers will actually have to not be clowns and the judge wont be sitting with his feet on the desk and his thumb up his ass.
