totally better than console gaming where some arcane system setting doesnt totally roadblock you and waste your time trying to get a game to run. who wants to actually spend time playing games instead of dealing with random technical issues?

the majority of games work just fine for me on pc. but every once in a while one doesn't work, or works but with problems and yeah, this is a pain in the butt. i can normally fix it within a few minutes of basic google searches. once in a blue moon i'll spend 30 minutes or more and on a super rare occasion it never works (looking at you, Metro Redux on GamePass).

but this is all worth it to me for the other options and benefits afforded by the pc as a gaming platform. i still own consoles and use them for exclusives, but every single time i have the option, i get a game on pc and i have no ragrets.

Sometimes really old games not updated for modern Windows will have issues. I don't think I have ever had a problem with a newer game though. I buy games on console too of course. I don't see any reason to only do one or the other.

nah, what actually ended up being the issue was, suddenly every game in my library across multiple launchers that ran on Unity suddenly decided to die.

turns out a graphics driver update was the issue so I had to reinstall an old version to get them all working again lmao

Never really had this issue. I've only experienced issues with:

  1. Installing certain mods. The process for some games can be annoying.
  2. Playing really old games at 60fps or above
  3. Certain games not played through your standard launchers.


Otherwise, it's just download and play with no modifications.
