the lightened image looks more white/gold, but to me the darkened image still looks brown/light blue like the original

Maybe my years of working in various supermarkets, movie theaters, and chain restaurants have burned into my brain what fake store lighting looks like. I can't explain you seeing trees tho

I only see white and gold lol well the white part can be a whitish blue, I do see a lighting blue color. But the othe part is like another user said, brown or gold.

That picture with the dress and someone whereing it is insane cause I still see white and gold but when it is being worn it is clearly dark black and dark blue.

Blue/black and Laurel.

Both of which were literally confirmed to be correct when the image / sound clip was analysed.

The image was just a really shitty picture with horrendous lighting that fucked with some people's heads.
But the Yanny/Laurel soundbyte was literally made to sound ambiguous. It's not something which people misheard. If you close your eyes and try to focus on the one you can't hear, you can notice that it's saying BOTH at different tones in such a way that depending on what tones your ears hear, it sounds completely different.
I was listening to it just now. I've always heard Yanny. But when I really focused, I could hear a deep-pitched "laurel" underneath

So weird how since i have seen it both ways. My brain switches between the colors now even as i am staring at the picture.
