Im talking about with a card. I know some people use their phones the same way, but it seems to work much better than a card. But how has the tap to pay function on the card been working for others?

For me, its kind of finicky. It only works sometimes. And Im not actually sure what the rules on it are. I might have to call my bank. Though, not everywhere here has it yet.

Also, for the people that answer, could you say whether you are in or out the US. When I asked on PotD, it seemed like the problem was centered on being in the US. Canada and the UK seemed to have less issues, for example...

Works fine for me at all the places that accept it. The problem is some of the stores I go to still ... don't. Also the Navy Exchange near me doesn't even accept chips yet lol

Ah... So they are way behind, it seems. Most places where I am have all pretty much gone to accepting chips. Though, I was honestly fine with swiping...

Yeah it's weird because the Commissary that's located in the same building accepts chips. I know they're different organizations but it's still kinda funny to me.

I used it for the first file in a while recently and it worked great. Sometimes it's unclear where the NFC zone is, but I think i just guessed right.

Where I am, the BX, Shopette, and Commissary all accept chip. Technically, they also say they accept tap to pay, but its only worked a few times at the shopette...

Works perfect anywhere that takes it. Much quicker than slide or insert

The first few times I tried it, it also work well. It was after I used it a few times that it started having problems...

I think the slide is faster for me. But its much quicker than the insert, which is why I wanted to use it. But its seems to work maybe 25% of the time I use it. It would probably be less, but I use it less now.

I now get annoyed when places don't have it.
