The talk is an app, a card with a microchip, and updated microchips for passports.

The phone app is a bit of a concern because that seems easier to fudge.

I want the card. I have a passport and they can download information to the chip.

After I get the shot I am going to travel overseas. Prices will hopefully still be low.

I'm educated. The vaccine is backed up by plenty of science with very good reason for us to push it to be mandatory. You can make all the excuses you like, if you make excuses for people endangering society you do not deserve a voice.

I could see an administration trying to push it beyond that, and I'd be for fighting that. Not this. There's a huge need for very heavily enforced vaccination, the threat of misinformation has gotten too severe for anything else.

But what you're proposing wouldn't just happen by itself and you know that.

It very easily could at state level. Require vaccinations for access to a lot of parts of society. Working with the public? Required. Using public transit? Required.

Vaccine data is accumulating as we speak so eventually they will be submitted for normal FDA approval. In the meantime people like Dr. Fauci are appealing to people to be part of the solution.

From what I have learned from posters if someone wanted to stop black Americans from getting vaccinated he could just fund Nation of Islam. Nation of Islam would then reach more people. *No sweat*

As for why someone would want to do this? Nobody told me yet. I will pass it on if someone does.

Of course odds are against us. People didnt or dont wear masks and our shutdowns happened too late (and were often not even true shutdowns). Combine that with anti vaxxers, the fact that we dont know how long vaccination lasts (last I checked), and since people can still carry when vaccinated (using that as an excuse to not get vaccinated, somehow) - you have a perfect storm for hardly if ever reaching that level of vaccination.

Ironically, the very people whose blind opposition to masks and lockdowns early on resulted in the uncontrolled nature of the virus are the ones who retroactively blame those actions.

It's in the same vein as the "why do you care if my kid isn't vaccinated?" crowd. They are oblivious to the damage they've caused, and worse, they attribute that damage to the very things they actively prevented.

That's my thing. If it was just them, let nature take its course. Karma. But 520.000 plus is kind of hard to ignore. Unless you're ignorant. My parents are old. They're going to go one way or the other within 10 years. . I'd rather they go in their sleep or something versus a ventilator.

I suggested early on that they should pay people to get the shot. Some on this board thought that would taint the thinking on vax somehow. I don't think it would. It's not a hill I'm willing to die on but if you said $2K to get the shot, I'm near the front of the line.
