Yesterday I invited a pink kangaroo to my island and she thought that was dope. When does she show up? Also, bout to pay this suckas loan off on day 1. Got the 30 of each wood for the shop. iron gonna take forever tho, only have 4 of those

also got the museum to upgrade instantly. guess i gotta wait a day or more for it to open up tho, and blabbers won't take anymore donations

They can only show up if there's an empty lot available. Eventually Nook should start handing you some construction kits to place more lots for potential move-ins and then you'll have to start paying for more until you have the max amount of lots/houses. Also if you want to find a specific villager to move in, try to save up nook miles tickets to go island hopping, because otherwise a villager will eventually purchase an empty lot if it's available long enough.

Nook will bring it to your attention in time. IIRC they have to upgrade Resident Services first because that's when he'll introduce Isabelle and they'll start caring about the island rating and getting more people to move in.

Based on your description, I don't think you're quite there yet.

I started Sunday. You don't upgrade resident services until after building and furnishing the first three houses, and then you wait until the next day for the new neighbors to move in. I'll be able to upgrade resident services Sunday, Saturday I still need to work on getting another 9 clay. :(

I haven't got the unlock requirements for the museum though, so I also want to work on that.

So I got word from the Rat that the 3 ppl I recruited will be on their way once I make a bridge and we start construction on their houses. Got the bridge put together in a real nice spot leading to the island-within-the-island. My 2 pals Muffy and Lyman got setup with their houses too, and Blabbers is finally constructing his museum proper.

I've got another 20 specimens and fossils lined up ready to give to him. Got an extension on my house, owe 200 large now. Should have it paid off this week if I continue my usual pace.

Hey, I also just finished getting my neighbors' houses ready! And cool, had no idea there were berries. Filled out a decent amount of the museum this morning - by far my favorite place to explore. Except the bug rooms, ew, they're all running around and stuff

I'd like to build another bridge but I guess I need to wait for the Rat to prompt me again. Bought a super cute carmen sandiego coat and some sweet frames

Think I'm wrapping up for the day soon, been at it for like 2 1/2 hours now

They show up the day after you invite them. You can also only invite them if you have an open lot available.

It's a start. Instead of waiting all week for your island to get a big price spike, you'd be better off going on the turnip exchange website and find someone else with a high price hosting people. Depending on how many NMTs you have, you might want to keep a couple handy in case someone asks for a fee.
