I just brush at night. Supposedly that is the most important time to brush them.

That doesn't mean you should only brush once, it's more that you should use less pressure while brushing. Speaking as the brother of a dentist who talks too much about oral hygiene.

Yeah. I never used to due to laziness mostly and unsurprisingly had a lot of teeth issues. I kept putting off getting my teeth pulled, fixed and stuff. I also put up with the toothache but eventually bit the bullet(no pun) several years ago and went to a learning dental practice that was recommended by a dental hospital I attended to have a slight bump(not cancer) removed from the inside of my mouth. The students at the learning dental practice did a great job and I'm thankful for their work. My teeth will never be perfect and I have gum disease it seems but they are a lot better then they used to be and I'm pain free. The part dentures really are better than rotting teeth too. Due to the rather extensive dental work I've had done I'm looking after my natural teeth a lot more.

Normally I use interdental brushes several times a day with floss when required. I brush my natural teeth twice a day and use soap and water on my part dentures twice a day. I also run those under water after ever meal as getting food particles stuck under them in bothersome. On occasion I use mouthwash too.

Same here. I'm inconsistent and only brush twice on certain days and once on others. What I'll say is that even if its once I make sure to do it really well. I take my time. People have actually complimented me on my teeth (I worked retail etc) and that makes me very proud because I had horrendous teeth as a child. Loads of cavities, some fell out before their time etc. So I put my mind to improving my adult teeth which were also not good at a point. I lost a couple adult teeth too but funny thing is mine grew back which is unusual. The only thing they need is a professional clean and whitening (not too fake tho) because I drink loads of tea and that colours your teeth.

At least a couple times a day. Waking up and before bed. Usually in the afternoon sometime as well.

I used to have this issue too so I switched to an electric toothbrush that has a timer on it

I don't want to say it's the only correlation, but I've had way fewer (I think zero?) cavities since I started brushing twice a day. Of course over time I've added flossing, mouthwash and an electric brush to that. Eventually IME if you brush twice a day enough, you start to notice a lot more in the morning that your teeth feel gross if you don't brush, which is good incentive in itself to keep up the habit.

I'm usually a before work person. I'll also do it when I eat a lot of candy. When I was dating, I was brushing them a lot.
I'm not afraid of the dentist in a child's sense, but it's been so long that I'm afraid of what they'll find and how I'll have to deal with it. It's been over a decade...

Yes. I drink too much coffee though, so my teeth aren't ever as white as I'd like them to be.
