It's not like the success of one film led to the others being developed. This was a planned trilogy, and the trail of breadcrumbs went from mediocre, to poisonous, to me questioning if they ever existed at all. You had two majorly hyped franchises(GoT and Star Wars) absolutely butcher their mystery box reveals in such a short amount of time that it's honestly damaged my anticipation of any long-running show with an overarching plot.
