Tom warned me this morning that there's a sneaky fella selling fakes, then Swiper here shows up and acts all shady.

Also, I met Harv and Carl the Camel. Bought so many rugs and wallpapers. Collected a bunch of sea creatures since I can swim now. Finally caught a sturgeon too. Collected even more bugs and fossils. Really wanna submit some art but I don't trust this fool.

Tom's gonna stop giving announcements cuz he hired an assistant. I can pay out the ass for bridges and ramps but I feel like the advice is to dump my 100s of grand into turnips still?

IIRC, the first piece of art is always legitimate. Then when he visits your town after that, he always has four pieces of art for sale. Any one of them can be fake or real, you can have anywhere from four real ones to all fake ones (but mostly, it's one real and three fake).

He's not very trustworthy. If you notice something is weirdly off with the art he's selling, maybe you should save your bells.

Yeah he sells fake art you can't donate to the museum after the first meeting. I suggest just using a stupid guide because he pops up once in a while and you can only buy one art piece so it's not worth it to figure out on your own.

First piece is real. Then its best to look at a guide to make sure youre buying a real one for your museum. Or a fake to put up in your house if thats your jam. My sister just started playing and I let her visit to get a real piece. Then I bought her a fake one she wanted as decor lol.

You can get bamboo shoots which you can plant I think. Not the bamboo when you cut the...well, bamboo.

Don't guides kill the point >_>. The gamble is suppose to be the fun. There's no excitement to getting a real one when you just use a guide. Defeats the purpose.

With how rarely he comes by and how many pieces there are to collect, it could take years to get everything. Not worth gambling on it tbh

Ah. I guess. I just don't really care if I get everything in games anymore. I just play until Im bored. So not having all them or even most of them even after a year probably wouldn't bother me. It would just make it even more hype if I actually get one.
