No and will take months because both my state and myself are garbage

AZ one week ago.

ill only get it after all priority groups (such as elderly and people with certain medical conditions) have been vaccinated here. which may take a while at the rate its going...

Got my first dose (Pfizer) last week.
Everybody age 16+ is eligible to sign up as of last week (I became eligible under the previous guidelines so already had an appointment). We're at about 30% of the city's age-eligible population being fully vaccinated - 77% among those age 65+ - and over 50% at least have their first dose. Alaska has done quite well at securing doses and getting them distributed.

Im in Canada, and were so far behind everyone else its embarrassing. Even people who were able to get their first shot (basically only people who are most at-risk at this point) are not getting their second for four months due to procurement issues, it seems theyd rather get more people their first shot to boost the vaccinated population % for political purposes.

My parents being 65+ were able to get it starting today. Now they just have to wait 4 months for the second dose.

There isnt any data that shows one way or the other yet because nowhere else is waiting so long yet.

The reason for this is a combination of no domestic vaccine production, thanks to decades of governments that chipped away at it as a cost cutting measure, and vaccine protectionism by the US, EU, and now India which is affecting other countries like Australia as well.

The first vaccine is something like 91% effective after two weeks in its own, so no, its not useless

Nope, and it's probably going to be a while until I'm eligible. About 3 months in the best case scenario.
