there's just so much content, options, tools, way to "game the system", humor, interesting characters, "oh, shit" moments, etc.

and I like how using each of the pre-made characters feels different enough so going through the game multiple times doesn't feel like you're going through the same exact thing each time.

my only real issues are some of the fights can feel unfair, and there are times when it's the enemy's turn, and it can take them longer than necessary to do something.

idk if it's more unforgiving, but tbf, it's been a while since I've played XCOM (and even then, it was only a few levels).

in DOS2, you can resurrect your allies with scrolls, have moves that can have you jump around the battlefield, heal you, increase your defenses, etc.

I haven't even beaten it and I wouldn't say might. It definitely is one of the GOATs. Game is great especially with a significant other.

I've been playing it with a couple of buddies a few times week. We all suck and it's not really my kind of game so it's been a bit of a chore trying to get better at it. We keep getting our asses beat.

It really is an incredible game. Got around to playing it last year and couldn't believe I had put off trying it out for so long. I kept hearing about the multiplayer aspect and wrongly assumed it wouldn't be that fun of a single player game. I was happily wrong about that.

While I think it would be a great game to play through with others if you have friends who know what to expect from rpg/crpg games, it was immensely enjoyable as a single player game. It does so much right and I stumbled upon it after being disappointed with some other rpg games I had played at the time, so it was a real breath of fresh air. Easily one of my favorite rpg experiences in a long while.

It's a fantastic game and the class mods are great as well
