Oh I think they could fall a long way but I also think Discovery falling to the $30 range (and keep in mind he bought it in the $60-$70 range) in the short term wouldn't be super surprising

Is Moonroof secretly engaged in insider trading? Investing in DISCB over DISCA seems so random and it worked out amazingly well.

I was up 5k earlier today now I'm up 900 bucks. This is an every day occurrence. I seriously can't wait to sell the rest of my positions for profits so I can swing trade with bigger bucks again. Just gotta avoid wash salin' the chunks I bought high.

But I'm damn close to hitting profits on these last few (large) positions - I do have a couple thousand in some other stocks. I bought KERN warrants for example last week just to open a position.

That said I don't think I'm selling IEAWW at break even (3.70 for me) - too much momentum with the infrastructure talks. Let's get those back to 6 pronto.

Also DISCB doesnt appear to have gone up due to anything relating to the business, so there wouldnt have been any news to have gotten inside in the first place. And I said yesterday Id be doing going for broke picking a stock like this!

Oh it was IEAWW that made up most of that 5k that has pulled back so maybe I should day trade it too. Might throw more money in just to day trade if there's a red day soon. In general, all my longs I might just start day/swing trading half of my shares and staying long the other half.

I have been kinda wanting to buy VIAC but if there's some sorta media short squeeze or something I have a ton in FUBO already who was smashed by collateral damage from that so I should probably stand to make a lot of money anyway without doubling down on it.

A few weeks ago I set a covered call for BAND at $125 to expire next Friday...just one contract worth. Looks like its poised to hit. My entry price was $127 though, and I have a separate covered call at $145 expiring next month. Im hoping BAND goes down to $124 this Friday.

Per S3 Partners, after steadily sinking, GME short interest has been rising a bit again over the last week and a half. This graph was posted Monday during the day. Fintel data shows short volume of 27-29% in each of the days this week, which is substantially higher than it's usually been the past couple months, so I would guess that short interest is higher now than the graph shows.

My read on it is, long selling has largely dried up. For the price to stay below $200, a larger and larger percentage of the stock coming on the market for sale is from short sellers. But, the stock isn't moving up because few people are willing to pay $190/share for GME. So the volume just keeps going down.

Yeah, April 16 is the motherload for options expiry based on open interest right now. After that there are no significant expiries until July. If a gamma squeeze is going to happen, I'd expect it to happen next week or the week after that.

I found your commentary a while ago very insightful about how GME is actually being valued as a failing brick and mortar store in a dying industry by some and as an up and coming ecommerce by others.

like DFV seems to actually believe this company is worth something to be worth holding through all of this craziness even ignoring a short squeeze. I've been very perplexed how anybody actually believes this but what you said kinda made it click... not everyone holding right now is doing so because of hope for a short squeeze or to own the hedge funds or whatever. There's actual tech bubble assignment of value happening here somehow. All of the "ryan cohen" hype you've mentioned before to me made me think there's hope for the stock beyond just being a $20 or worse as they go bankrupt, but I never ever considered they could actual get a real three digit valuation from anybody seriously evaluating this stock.

If I'd clicked on this during the first short squeeze i 100% would have bought when it fell back to $40 but man, like chainLTTP I find $190 to be a tough pill to swallow

$190 is tough to swallow, yeah. I think the short squeeze potential is just a shadow of its former self too. The short interest is much lower, and the margin call point is probably much higher. Unless there are a lot of naked calls being sold out there, but that just seems stupid.

I would be 99% sure whoever wrote those calls already hedged that position long ago, probably no later than last October when GME first crossed $12. If not they're in for a world of pain as they spend $9 million buying shares to cover calls they sold for $10k in premium.

The strike prices to watch for are the ones that are OTM now. Those are the ones that are possibly naked. As the price crosses a strike price with a lot of naked calls, the call writers have to scramble to buy shares (or calls) to protect their position from massive losses, which causes a squeeze.

It seems like gamma squeezes are very tough to predict. I think red sox said before that you can't tell if the data is coming from calls or puts, and you also can't tell if it's covered or naked. A ton of covered calls or a bunch of puts won't cause anything to happen, right?

I've since found info as to whether they are calls or puts. Not sure if Market Chameleon added it since I looked before or if I just didn't see it somehow. GME actually has a lot more puts than calls. Some people have speculated about a downward gamma squeeze with puts, but I'm not really seeing that as all that possible because selling a put has a maximum possible loss which is known from the start.

I don't think we can tell if it's covered or naked. I wonder if anyone has access to that kind of data (maybe Citadel would....).

Think of it this way
The most you can lose is $190 if GME crash and burn
But if it skyrockets and gamma squeeze activates it can reach $1000!

Well that was my logic when I bought one share at $74
But yeah I am not doing this with $190

Also why is volume dying makes it a good sign? To me it sounds like the hype is dead

Because previously, volume dying has preceded big spikes. It makes sense - shorts depend on volume. The less volume there is, the harder it is to cover their positions.

It's not an investment, it's a gamble. I see some gains and losses as casino chips. My problem is that I don't know when to give up and that's why I'm still sitting on BYND because I lost $300 and I figure "welp, I own the stock, I didn't get rid of it, I actually see potential in meat substitutes, I guess it's an investment now"

Anyway, look at it as dropping money in a casino if you want to play with meme stocks or doing gambling. Don't put much money in it, don't treat it like one of your serious investments.

Hmm....I think I get much more upset about losing the same amount of money in a casino as in the stock market. In the stock market, I see everything I buy as an investment. The duration of time I expect to hold can be different but everything has to be positive expectation. It doesn't have to be safe either but it has to be something that I believe will make money on average.
